Apologies for my absence!
« on: Sunday 09 May 21 11:46 BST (UK) »
I have been away from family history for a while, following the death of three close family members including my wife and father. Then followed by my own health issues, so I apologise for not replying to answers in my threads sooner.
I am now one month into a long, slow recovery courtesy of our wonderful NHS, who have now renewed my "plumbing" during a five hour operation. I have been assured that I should be back to my old energetic self by the end of the year, but until then no lifting, pulling or pushing and just 10 minutes light exercise a day.
What better excuse for reacquainting myself with 35 years of family research? I am loving reading back through my notes and the challenge of attacking the old brick walls again, especially now so much new information is available.
Thank you to all my old friends on here and I hope that you are all safe and well during these extraordinary times.

Oh my goodness, Guy.  You really have had (and are having) a very sad, tough time.  I don't know you but send you my thoughts and prayers.
