I believe it would have been on the right hand side as you headed to O'Connell Street.
Thom's from 1934 has numbers 1-7 as tenements but numbers 8 to 11, where Gloucester place starts as in private hands. Mrs. Morgan was at number 8 in 1934 too.

This photo shows the stretch in much later years.

That makes perfect sense dublin1850, that description would be where what was/is known as 'the Gloucester diamond' began, so it was basically 'on the border' of the 'diamond' as its locally known (hence the pub name which I had a pint in many a time back in the day)
Its great to know its history, so thank you for that added bit of unexpected info.
The infant school now stands on that spot and the park to the left.
