In 1881 Joseph Stansfield is living with his parents Barker and Susannah - wrongly written as 'Job' - shown as married, machine turner this time (they didn't have a son Job).   Thereafter he appears on census as 'inmate', mechanic but now stating he is single!!

Cannot find wife Louisa, Simeon or David as Stansfield.

It’s very strange that the family attended the baptism of David in March 1881 in Rochdale and 4 weeks later when the census was taken Louisa and the children can’t be found but Joseph is living with his parents.

Maybe they had separated and Louisa was still living at 5 Spring Gardens in Wardle Rochdale.
