Newspaper Lookup's North Shields Library
« on: Monday 10 May 21 16:02 BST (UK) »
I'm just looking for 2 death notices
I do have access to newspapers online but they don't cover the 2 years I need.

The first is Ann Crammond Smith dies 14th Jan 1936 North Shields and her son James Thomas Tabbnor Smith dies 30th April 1966 North Shields

Many Thanks

No problem, I  will look this up for you soon, fitting in with my shifts. Likely in the next couple of weeks if you don't mind the wait?

According to his death notice he was cremated at Tynemouth Crematorium.

Some of their Book of Remembrance images are online and there is an entry for him in the Book
https://issuu.com/ntcouncilteam/docs

Click the middle image, page forward to the first page which is dated 30th and his entry is the fourth from the top in the left hand column.

The option to download the image is not active

I can only access the Shields paper at North Shields Local Studies.  I can't access the Evening Chronicle because Newcastle is still closed to the public - but did you know they (Newcastle) are doing free look ups online?  See my post:

The North Shields Local Studies has the Crematorium records. 1959-1995 I could check out these next time I can go.
