Good finds for the children.
Were your Mulherns in Scotland in 1911?

Only Patrick Mulhern, Annie Allen would be his mother. Patrick Mulhern does not appear on the Irish cenus. I only found out about the Allens this year. Arthur Mulher, the father was working in  labourer, working in Clydesbank, Glasgow. I think Annies sister Mary was a witness.

Yes I saw she was a witness.
I think death certificates from Scotland’s People show parents names etc so if that were Ellen you should be able to find out.

So Annie is the only child you have records for after 1901 census?

Yes, Annie Allen was born in Ireland, someone on here helped me find more information on Scotland as you have to pay. I might ask some great uncles/aunts about the Mulherns living in Scotland for a time.

Thats why I was asking for William Allen, Annies brother, I am not sure if William does appear on the Irish 1901/11 census. That will solve the mystrey if William was a catholic

Birth of Elizabeth McDowell - informant Ellen Allen , 1904

Annie McDowell 1908 - Ellen Allen informant

There is a death for Anne in 1908

This would mean that Ellen is still in Londonderry till then.
