Have you checked GRO online to establish his mothers maiden name?

Use that info to find the parents marriage then look for them in 1901

He had 3 christian names so could be under any of them so look for the parents

1911 lookups are not allowed

The Kinematograph Weekly, 27 Aug 1925, has an item about "Victor Frank Wright, musical director of the Biograph Theatre, Victoria  ... born 1894 ... commenced work in Suffolk at 16 years of age ... "

Can t find him in 1901 though possible school records give address as Row 24. Several possible small misdemeanors in early 1900s, and possible mention of neglect by father Harry and separation of parents in newspaper reports (same address Row 24).
Possibly in reformatory school in Suffolk in 1911.
He may be enumerated by initials if he is in some sort of institution in 1901.
Parents appear to be Matilda Gray and Henry Wright married 1893 Great Yarmouth.

CATHY and HANES
many thanks for your valuable researches.
I think that I have just spotted his birth record.

Births Dec 1893   (>99%)
Wright    Victor Henry F         Yarmouth    4b   22

I am following this man as he was a 1951 marriage witness [and probable buddy] to an elusive Peter O'HANLON born about 1900.

The 'Who Do You Think You Are' researchers dropped his line as his 'stories' did not seem reliable and even the deceased father 'William Josiah' name on the marriage certificate could not be identified.  He spins a good extravigant story and clearly had the gift of the gabb before he 'disappeared' in the mid 1950s.  Possible grains of truth?
In the early 1950s Peter's daughter lived in my family as my foster sister.

I recall the article I spotted in the Kinematograph Weekly described him as "... a Mons medal man". He was in the Royal Sussex Regiment. I have spotted a possible match - no 9935. The National Archives has a medal card.
Checked FindMyPast but only the medal card.
