What does it mean on the 1911 Irish census when it states event place? it states Co. Offaly
Below this is event place original states Co. Louth which is where the family actually lived.
(Arthurs, Mc Shane in Tyrone)-
(Arthurs, Murphy, Keenan, Boyle, Mackle, Agnew
Mc Conville, Mc Combe Belfast)
(O'Hanlon, Hanratty, Mulholland, Mc Namee, Dobbs, Murphy, Lamb, Murphy in Dundalk/Louth)

Are you picking this up from ''Family Search''or the actual census itself ?

Agreed.
Ancestry has changed birth county of some of my ancestors from Mayo to another county because there's a townland called Mayo in the other county.  >:(
Would you like to tell us which family you were looking at on the census so that we can look too and offer an opinion?

The family are O'Hanlon 1911 Census living at Castletown Road Dundalk
