So the anomaly of the birth year is still there😂

Death cert suggests that that birth year is 1899

But the actual birth cert states 1896

I think what you have is an error by the doctor with regard to her age on the death certificate.  Not an uncommon occurrence.  Perhaps he didn't check her asylum notes for her age, who knows........

Everything else ties up with her being Annie/Lily Green nee Coley.

I wouldn't worry too much about the age discrepancy.  This would tend to occur when the person recording the death wasn't positive about the age of the deceased and therefore made a guess.

I would imagine quite a number of incorrect ages at death are due to the fact that it was not a family member registering the death.  Having said that, even family members can get an age wrong   ::)

And the other discrepancy

She was 26 when she married William green in 1927

Meaning she was born in 1901

😂😂🤯

Do we know the name(s)  of the family children that died ?

My partner had a thought that Annie Elizabeth could have been a child that died?

What age was given for William on the marriage certificate?  Could he have been younger than her and she wanted to appear nearer to his age?

I have a female relative who knocked ten years off her age when she married.

Ah there is the answer then.  William was younger so Lily knocked a few years off her age to be closer to his.  ::)

This is why you don't take everything you see on a certificate as being correct.  Checking information through other records will help to verify whether the information is correct or if some massaging has been done or misheard and incorrectly recorded.

Thank you so much for checking the information , can I’m happy to pay for your time or make a donation to a charity close to your heart for your efforts today.

We will be laying some flowers at the mass grave in Ledbury on Saturday and having a memorial made in the summer for Lily
