Eliza Wright Pratt obituary transcript.

Mrs. Eliza W. Pratt (The Daily Standard Union: Brooklyn, Monday 27 March 1905)

Funeral services were held yesterday for Mrs. Eliza Wright Pratt, at her late home, 1222 Dean street, the Rev. Dr. T.J. McConnell of the New York Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church, and Dr. Cavanaugh of Beney Hospital, officiating. Interment was made this morning in the family plot at Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Pratt was born in the Isle of Man in 1829. She was the daughter of the late Rev. William and Margaret Wright. In 1848 Mrs. Pratt was married to John P. Pratt, of England [Ed. should read Ireland], and in 1870 the family came to Brooklyn to live. Six children were born to them. A week ago Mrs. Pratt was taken ill, and she died last Friday night [Ed. 24 March 1905] at 7 o'clock. She is survived by her husband and four daughters. Mrs. Elizabeth Patterson and Mrs. Joseph Griffin, of Brooklyn; Mrs. V.L. Teney, of San Francisco, Cal., and Miss Caroline.

I store transcripts for myself to make searching easier. I store everything I find in MediaWiki format and as the content has grown into many hundreds of thousands of words, text search has become a powerful tool.

I usually post transcripts on here or other sites on the off chance that a.n.other is researching the same content.
