Terregles Cemetry Look up
« on: Saturday 15 May 21 15:18 BST (UK) »
I have a grave reference for Lachlan Thomson in Terregles Cemetery, burial register

1st Extension, section 5, lair 99 (possible mark looking like 199)

Date of burial 12 July 1971.

I know there are additional ashes in this grave, his son Donald, buried 13 Feb 1989.

I would be interested to know if there was any additional information on the headstone, if there is one.

I have just realised that this might be more relevant on the Kirkcudbrightshire forum

I see from the register that Lachlan was buried at 5 ft and Donald at 3 ft (ashes).

Given the depth, there could just possibly be a person buried earlier, but not recorded. Most of the other listings show only two burials per lair.  When did Lachlan's wife die?

I have the earlier MIs stored away and will check but it might be that you would have to contact D & C council for any other information. I recall that someone on here did record some of the more recent MIs.

Nothing listed in FindaGrave. There might not be a stone.

I've not found anything yet in the refs that I've checked. My eyes are playing up!

What was his wife's name and were they of Terregles ?
