There is a stone in the new part of Terregles Churchyard which reads:
In loving memory of Lachlan Thomson beloved husband of Janet Darroch died 19th July 1971 aged 83 years. Also the above Janet Darroch died 16th Feb. 1977 aged 85 years. Also their second son Donald Darroch Thomson died 23rd Oct. 1998 aged 66. Cremated at Boston USA and ashes interred here.
