Death of George W. Decker, 1935 .... in ¿Wyoming?
« on: Sunday 16 May 21 03:59 BST (UK) »
Quite by chance I came across this photo of George Warren Decker at the 'Ancient Faces' website.  He was the husband of Emily Stalla Price, a second cousin twice removed.

https://www.ancientfaces.com/photo/george-warren-decker/365575?collection=surname&collection_id=2627

The photo was reportedly found in a Tallahassee, Florida antique shop.  This makes sense because Decker descendants did wind up in Tallahassee.  Apparently, on the back of the photo, it says that he died on 18 February 1935 in Wyoming but I can't find his death in the Wyoming vital records available at FamilySearch or at the Wyoming State Archives.  What he might have been doing in Wyoming is a mystery inasmuch as he was a sail maker from Brooklyn, NY.

Does anyone have access to more complete Wyoming records or maybe an obituary?

Thanks, RJ.  Shame they don't mention the Wyoming angle.  I wonder if there's any truth to it?
