James Skidmore circa 1801

Hi all, looking for a birth or Christening for James Skidmore circa 1801 Sarratt or Bovingdon. He has used both on different census. Thanks for any help, Pete.
Mainly researching the Lees from Herts but also compiling a one name study of Culverhouse

I note that James married Mary Adkins 24 Aug 1863. I'm guessing that this might be his second marriage. Do you know anything about him before 1863?

born Jan 14 baptized Mar 6 - at Sarratt

First marriage to Ann Bates in 1858 (both single) by Banns, both of this parish

Second marriage, to Mary Aitkins in 1863 - he's a widower, she's single. By Banns

Both marriages Aldenham

1861 census with wife Ann, 1871 with wife Mary

Marriages at Aldenham, Hertfordshire
30th May 1858 to Ann Bates, bachelor and spinster, James's father John Males
24th August 1863 to Mary Atkins, both widowed, James's father John Skidmore

Ann Skidmore died age 29, buried 1st September 1862 Aldenham, abode Reservoir Cottages matches 1861 census
