Request for help re-Samuel Cockram.
« on: Wednesday 19 May 21 17:28 BST (UK) »
I'm seeking info re the military service of my ancestor Samuel Cockram (various spellings encountered),my subscription with Ancestry doesn't allow me to see the attached info, which is confusing/frustrating me to some degree. The 1911 census is my man,and I thought I could have been on the right track, but need confirmation re home address,or any personal details. However when looking at the details on the screencaptures, there are that many reference numbers etc my head is swirling, and to boot I can't figure out if the man referred to died or survived the war??

Is that info from Fold3?
Although part of Ancestry, it requires a separate subscription.

KGarrad-my apologies,I'm rubbish at getting the pics on here, and still attempting to sort it..yes,I imagine it is different sub,but my pension is stretched at present and doesn't allow for any increase...

There is no entry on the CWGC website for the death of a Samuel Cockram serving with the Royal Air Force during WW1, so looks it looks as though it is highly likely that he survived the war.

On reflection,as I'm fairly incompetent at posting the images I was hoping to re my post,I'll have to call it a day, concede defeat and abandon the thing.

CraigM63-I'm unable to post the other images that are relevant to my initial post, would you mind very much if I send them to you in a message?,I don't expect you to do anything other than perhaps put me on to the right track...scrap that last comment,I don't see how to send them there either, thank you anyway for your response.
