To add to the confusion David’s second wife Sarah Jones was living at Plasnewydd mill at the time of their marriage, various uncles, with surname Jones are mentioned in Rachel Pryce’s Will, so maybe there is some link there?!

Thanks very much for all this very useful information.

US death records frequently record the names of the parents and I was hoping if it was available it would close the loop and confirm his mother and father’s names.

Roy

Before 1911, no deaths were recorded by the state. Between about 1885 and 1911 a few deaths were recorded at the county or city clerk's office in register volumes. Not all of these registers have survived.

What is available 1885 - 1930 at familysearch.org - Free - name index to death and burial records from the state of Kansas. Not complete for all counties.  The link given above does not show David R Evans in 1891.

Thank you. This must be the family, the names and ages all tie up. Presumably David and older children emigrated earlier. Perhaps Sarah delayed so David could establish a family holding and maybe Sarah didn’t want to travel during her pregnancy
