Good news you have been receiving good NHS care Viktoria, and thankfully you have family that are able to look out for you.
Try and take it easy for a while, to aid your recovery.
We have purple aquilegia blooming in the courtyard. Very pretty.

Thanks everyone, whilst disappointed at the time now I think how fortunate I don’t have a puppy to care for ,I said things often happen for a reason .
It will pass, and I am lucky to have this treatment ,free!

Guess what-? It is raining today !
Took a little present and card to a neighbour who is moving today ,her children were at the nearby school when  I worked there.
She passed my back garden twice every day with her little dog off for a few turns round the cemetery.
I managed the walk  OK ,it is a very short distance to her house and I went so slowly along the side lane .

Son will bring my shopping but I would ,if he has time, like to get some magnifying specs from the Chemists ‘.
And decent plants .
Oh don’t you have to be patient when you get older.

Keep well everyone and look after yourselves, hope Pharma has good news re her Mum.
Cheerio.Viktoria.

Is it reading glasses you're after Viktoria? If so you can get them with your Tesco delivery, I got some when my prescription glasses came apart. Two pairs for £6.50, they're great.  :)

Thanks, I did not think of that ,Thankyou.
It is odd because I don’t know when to go to my opticians as each different drop does different things to my eyes during the day.
I meant to ask yesterday but was floored when another op was mentioned.
But I have had a practice run and it won’t be so strange this time ,but most of all my eyes are being looked after .
The opticians might be of help too.
I will stock up the freezer, get some meals ready, home made pies etc and batches of spaghetti bol etc .

I will see when the op is and if possible get to see family and I would love to see my friend in Shropshire .
But what will be will be .
Philosophical is what I must be .

Look after yourselves folks, we have come this far and there is hope on the horizon .
If my delusions of grandeur get bigger I will start to sign myself as

Roobarb can I ask how did you decide what prescription of reading glasses to order from Tesco? Did you know how to interpret your opticians prescription which I find baffling all those numbers.

It was just because I've previously bought cheap glasses to keep in my handbag or the car, I'd tried them on at the time to see which strength I needed. When I bought the  Tesco ones I just chose the same strength as ones I'd had previously.
Having said that, as I went to the opticians on Thursday I do have my prescription to hand .... the reading under Sphere for Near vision seems to be the relevant one.
Hope that helps a bit.  :)
