Help needed with glitch on FTDNA
« on: Friday 21 May 21 16:27 BST (UK) »
Just wonder if anyone can help with a glitch on FTDNA.

In Family Findier, if I type a match's name into the top right search box, the match appears, I select them by ticking the box to the left of their icon, then click on the 'in common with' button and nothing happens. After a few seconds it says:

Quote
No matches found at this relationship filter setting. In 5 seconds the filter will automatically change to Show All Matches.

The only work-around I can find is to make a note of the cMs shared with the match, then scroll through the pages to find them, then select them by ticking the box to the left of their icon and click on the 'in common with' button - this seems to work and I can see the shared matches.

Any other ideas about what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks, Flemming.

I think you can adjust the cM threshold for the matches on FTDNA FF

Thanks for that but still leaves the question of why the issue happens in the first place.

Put the name into the top righthand search box and the person comes up. Tick their name and then "Reset Filter" before going to "In Common with". You will then get all the matches.

Many thanks for this. Of course it won't do the glitch now I have a solution for it  ::) but will wait until it happens again and try it then.
