John Gibney Ireland
« on: Friday 21 May 21 17:13 BST (UK) »
I am struggling to find records for a John Gibney. I have a birth and baptism for Bernard Gibney, 1864 in Donabate, Co Dublin which lists an Elizabeth Kernan as mother.
I have the family in 1901 in Belfast
Elizabeth Meath  c1827
Bessie.    Meath  c1857
William.   Meath  c1860
John.       Antrim c1862
Patrick.    Dublin. c1865

Peter Paul baptism 1868 Dromore, Magheralinn mother Elizabeth Kearns

Any info/advice greatly appreciated  ??? :)

Is Bernard Gibney your main focus?

Where do you have him in other records?

Heywood, thank you for your welcome and swift reply. Yes this is the same family. I know from Peter Paul's and Bernard's marriage records that John has died before 1890. I have no idea where abouts in Meath they are from. I have trawled birth records from 1864 to no avail. Hoping someone may recognise this family.

I have Bernard living in Belfast and dying in Bray, Co Wicklow. It is the other members and parents I am keen to find information on.

Thank you.  :) :D

I have come across the baptism for William. Mother's name is certainly a possibility but I didn't know whether I was trying to make it fit considering it is 6 years out from census age. I had expected to find Patrick and Peter Paul in civil birth registrations. Many thanks again for your efforts.  :)

Heywood, thank you for that. Interesting. I'm guessing you can't go by census ages. ;D
