Do you have the family later?
What makes you think this could be your man?

There is a published tree showing that family plus other siblings in Australia later.

Have you found John's father, James on 1911 census? He was alive in 1913.
John may have been working away from home.

The Marriage is dead cert, almost sure about the birth, I am trying to find the DNA match I have with another tree this John Gavin is in their tree and my dna connection is a Gavin one. My problem is trying to find them in a census for to gather more info on them.

If it is that birth one, as I said, there is a tree with the family in Queensland. Perhaps you could contact them.

Had you seen?
Freeman's Journal, 7 Sep 1922
HIS HOME UNSAFE
Sad experience of a Co. Galway Trader
Repeated depredations on his shop have made a refugee of Mr John Gavin, Grocer and Publican, who has found it necessary to abandon his place at Currandulla, Annaghdown, Co. Galway.

It's a lengthy article but no mention of what happened next.

Possible death of John Gavin, 1934. He was a Publican on his children’s births in Castlecreevy.

His age has been altered on the d.c. from 71 to 38 years. This would not make sense.
