Missing IGI records?
« on: Sunday 23 May 21 12:31 BST (UK) »
Hi. I'm restarting research after many years.  I have an IGI printout from 1988 which includes several records that no longer seem to be available on familysearch.org using the Search/Records facility.  e.g.:

Stofer, Jonathan married Martha Brown 11 Sep 1755 at Ashfield by Debenham (Suffolk, England)
Stofer, Jonathan married Mary Scotchmer 8 Oct 1771 at Earl Soham (Suffolk, England)
Stopher, Jonathan christened 23 Mar 1758bat Earl Soham (Suffolk, England), parents Jonathan and Martha Stopher

Are these missing records incorrect ones that have been removed or are not all the IGI records indexed online on FamilySearch?

Thanks

Nigel

These were the old Family Search, Vital Records. The above Link directs You to the Persons of interest.

You will have to search around a bit, to relink the various Stofer's.

ADD: FreeReg (Free to view Parish Records Web Site) would have been Your best bet, to confirmed Your old Stofer Records, but it appears the Parish's, You quote, have not been transcribed, or the Stofer Surname is not recognised. You may have to consider taking out a subscription to one of the many Online Geneology Sites, i.e. Ancestry, FindMyPast e.t.c., if you wish to seriously return to researching, Family Genealogy.

Henry and Joseph’s baptisms are available on Ancestry in Debenham Independent Chapel in England and Wales Non Conformist and Non Parochial Registers. If you go back and forwards in the register you might find the other children.
