Yes that is the birth I posted in reply #3.

Have you found a death anywhere else?

There is a newspaper snippet about the death but I can’t access it.

If that james mullen was my great grandfather the it would've made him 9 years younger than bridget x

If his death is the one in 1918 age given as around 34 - i.e. bc.1884.   I doubt very much that he was in fact 54, some 20 year difference.

Where was he in 1911?   One would have expected him to have been in Cork where children born 1909 and 1914.

Could this be James’ death - in 1918. It is very sad.

This James Mullins looks likely to be the one here in 1901. I can’t see the family in 1911.

The newspaper snippet mentions Carrigtwohill.

Annette I can't find him on the 1911 register...his first born Simon was born in dublin in 1909 and then are on the register in  1911 in ballinacurra co cork. His 2nd born (my grandmother) was born in midleton workhouse, where he is listed on the birth certificate x

I posted that census to add to your doubts that it is unlikely to be your relative.
Did you say Christina and Simon were in care in Cobh?
Christina would be an adult when her mother died though.

Are there any relevant records re Christina?
