Who would I need to contact to enquire when someone first took occupancy of a property in Sandgate Kent 1945/6. The property in question are the Coastguard Cottages Sandgate High Street Folkestone.

Have you tried contacting the RO to see if they have Electoral Registers for that period?

  Folkestone Library used to have a good local studies section, they may have copies of the electoral roll for that date.
