connaught rangers WWI
« on: Friday 28 May 21 16:42 BST (UK) »
Have been filling my lockdown looking at in-laws tree. Irish - which is an unknown area for my research so am hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. Findmypast produced a hint amongst prisoners of war - and I'd like to know if he is related to inlaws family. The POW records dont give any place of birth or dob or parents' names - very unlikely to be related to my tree but I wonder whether there is anywhere you can find the personal details of the POWs - he was in the Connaught Rangers; inlaws came from Kilkenny but I don't know whether that's any help

Thank you for any help - even if it just confirms my suspicion that this isn't 'my' family

Perhaps you could give us something more to work on - the soldier's name and number?
