I have an Isaac Goodison Oliffe born 1786 Ireland he married Eliza or Elizabeth born 1801 in ireland they have a daughter Mary Ann b 1828, I just don't know how to look for Isaac  where do you start in Ireland, i am a bit confused. Thank you

Sorry, I can’t help much but posting my thoughts.
Here is Mary Ann’s marriage to John Joyce in 1849

Shows Mary Ann b St Helena.

Was Isaac in the military?  There are a couple of early military records for Oliffe, b Cork but not Isaac.

There are some Irish records around Cork for Oliffe. Civil records did not begin until 1864 (non catholic marriages 1845) so you will need to go to church records.
There are some Oliffe records here https://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/

It may be that Isaac was born to a soldier serving in Ireland also - it is difficult without further records.
