Yes, perhaPs it was to include a second Christian name, as you said, you may never know but sometimes there are a lot of mysteries from the past  that we will never find out about

I doubt that they would have bothered holding a second baptism purely to add a second Christian name to be honest. They were very poor agricultural labourers, moving farms at least every ten years and suffering removals under the poor law (Henry and his mother were both subject to removal orders at different times) and more than a few brushes with the law (at least two of Henry's children were jailed) so I suspect that their children's names were the least of their problems. That said Henry & Sarah lived to be 96 and 90 respectively so I suppose they were doing something right.

Well then you are back to the private baptism scenario.
They have added a second name. It seems to be a regular baptism and a person can only be baptised once.
