Stories behind the photos
« on: Wednesday 02 June 21 08:58 BST (UK) »
The work that you all do in here is both amazing and really appreciated.

I look at all the photos and see the results that restore memories and spark off new interest in researching these snapshots in time.
I am nosey by nature and always wonder about the people and the stories behind the photos... .

We have a large and varied music collection, most of the day its streamed to speakers to play tracks randomly. (We get maybe classical followed by blues/hard rock/country/ doo-wop/folk/jazz  - just about anything you can think of)

And this morning, a song played that made me think of you all. Country may not be everyone's cup of tea, but the words really made me think of you all and the gifts you give to so many of us:-)

You Should Have Seen It In Color (By Jamey Johnson)

Lovely, Boo, thank you.
I think there's nothing like finding photos of ancestors (or other old rellies) you never met.

Thank you Boo for your lovely kind words and song.  I also like when people post a photo and give a little history of the person or subject, if they know it.  It makes it more interesting.

A great song, Boo. Thanks for the link  :)

I was thinking of you yesterday when I was reviewing my tree and finding more and more of my relatives in Co Durham and , a first  - a family living in Cowpen  8)

I love to research the history behind the people  :)

Spot on, Boo.

I always marvel at the skills of the restorers here - have had many restores of my own pictures - and this is a great acknowledgement of the time and effort bringing people back to life.

Thanks from someone else who's always grateful but Thank You doesn't quite reach what I want to say.
