Welcome to Rootschat.

Rockmount or Rouckmount seems more like a place name.

What is the source of the info ?

In a historical record the occupation for one of my grandfathers was a rockmount. I understand there is a place called Rockmount but this was definitely an occupation.

Can you post a link to the record in question? Or tell us where to find it?
