Greenock was a Scottish port in  East Renfrewshire

I just searched it's history ...developed with tobacco trade ..and there was an easy India dock completed in 1823 .

The Tweeside was constructed buy Scott's shipbuilding+ engineering co Cartsdyke
Greenock

Amazing what information is on internet
I should check the 1857 burial of William MUIR as it could be a mistranscription or a relative.
