John McNAUGHTON 1820-1893

Another death I can't find is John McNAUGHTON, died Kimbolton Dec 1893.

He is on the fiche indexes Mar qtr 1894, Feilding, folio 219.

Kimbolton Cemetery burials have him as McNORTON.

Date of death for the above spelling was 30.12.1893.

Thanks KHP and Minniehaha. That would appear to be him. Death date matches that on his probate. Hadn't thought of swapping the A with an O.

On his will he leaves things to siblings in Scotland who I have been able to find, plus a couple of girls who could be nieces.

The other person he leaves something to is a Mrs Helen McNAUGHTON of what looks like Kaikoura in the Hawkes Bay district. Didn't think there was a Kaikoura over there but there could be. Can anyone find this lady and who her husband might be.

I did find a Jessie McNAUGHTON buried in the Otane Cemetery. No info other than she died 24 Dec 1910. She could be some connection.

Aged 74 according to NZ BDM death index so born c1836.
