I am looking for any information on a JOHN BENTLEY born about 1755 to William and Martha Bentley of Hunsfleet. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Jayne, Historically Selby was in the West Riding of Yorkshire as shown here -

Quite close to the border with the East Riding but not in the North Riding. The modern day divisions of Yorkshire are not relevant to Historical research.
I'm assuming that Hunsfleet is close to Selby. Don't actually know where Hunsfleet is.

Maybe a moderator could move this to the appropriate board - and maybe your earlier query about this family. People with interests in the WRY may never look at the NRY board.
