John Bentley born about 1755 Looking for help

I am looking for any information on a JOHN BENTLEY born about 1755 to William and Martha Bentley of Hunsfleet. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The only John Bentley I can find so far, with parents William and Martha, was baptised 2 May 1756 in Horton Staffordshire.

What makes you think he was born Hunsfleet?

Hello and thank you. So far everything I have tracked for my paternal line has been in the Yorkshire region (Hull, Selby, York). I have sources for most of lineage so far: my father, Leonard Bentley; his father Albert Bentley; his father Harry Tempest Bentley; his father Tempest Green Bentley; his father John Bentley who was married to Rebecca Morley. This John Bentley was born in 1804 and as far as I can find his parents were John Bentley (b. 1767) and Sarah Marsden (b. 1781).

There is a John Bentley, baptised in Selby, in 1804 but!

John first son of John Bentley of Selby, Waterman, son of William Bentley of Hunsfleet, Waterman, by Martha his wife AND Mary daughter of Richard Marsden of Selby, Labourer by Mary his wife, daughter of John Green of Wakefield.  Born 28 September, baptised 2 October 1804.

Hi BumbleB, am I interpreting the information correctly? John, born Sept 1804, was the first son of John Bentley (who was the son of William and Martha). The mother of John, born Sept 1804, was Mary Marsden who was the daughter of Richard Marsden and Mary Green. This is confusing for me and  I sure wish some of the "John's" had middle names to help distinguish them!!
