Philip. You are so right about all the Williams there is also lots of spellings of spight too. William and hannah as far as I found had son William and daughter Ann born 1769 she married George finney in Eckington Sheffield

Ann is recorded as Ann Spike, chairwoman, age 60 and states not born in County. Ancestry transcription says born Derbyshire
George her son is also listed born in county, 25 ag. Lab.

1851 High Street, Bolsover HO107; Piece: 2148; Folio: 77

Ann Spite, widow age 68 lodging house keeper, birth place Not Known, Ancestry transcription says
Rippon Nottinghamshire.

When Ann marries William, his name is recorded as Spike.

I FOUND HER IN A SEARCH ON FAMILY SEARCH. THEIR MARRIAGE IN 1767
THEN A HINT OF HER BIRTH I COULD BE TOTALLY WRONG BUT SOMEONE FROM AMERICA ALSO GAVE ME THE SAME INFORMATION.

There is a possible marriage in Sheffield for that Hannah Corker in 1773, have you discounted that.

 I not seen that but the 1767 marriage is to a William spite which is what I'm looking for the spight side.

I would have doubts that the Sheffield Hannah Corker was yours, certainly needs more research  :-\

I've now discovered that the Rotherham FHS has closed down.
