Gallagher Family

Am searching for the extended family and ancestors of Joseph Gallagher who married Mary McDowell in Derry in 1937.  His marriage certificate has his fathers name as William (deceased).  Joseph wouldve been born somewhere in 1910s and passed away 1979.  I dont know his mothers name and dont have any siblings names either.  I have searched Roots Ireland & Irish Genealogy but dont want to be entering incorrect information into the family tree.

'Derry' can be either the city or the county. Do you have the groom's address at time of marriage? Is father's occupation listed? Family's religion?
Last available census for Ireland is 1911- http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/
Search for 'Joseph Gallagher' gives 25 results- some too old, some have more than 1 Christian name, etc.

'Joseph Gallagher' age 2 months with father William-
