Do you have a query about this family? This is the Leicestershire board, you've not mentioned any Leic placenames - do you believe there to be a connection?

Cooper (Sedgeley, Bilston)
Kilner/Kilmer (Leic, Notts)
Greenfield (Liverpool)

The Watson family are living in Market Harborough Leicestershire in 1861/1871
Rathel is not with the family in 1871

1871 Piece:   3225 Folio:   10 Page number:   14
Francis Watson   60   Head

This appears to be Elizabeth’s baptism

Elizabeth Lucinda Watson

This appears to be her birth entry

WATSON, ELIZABETH    Mother’s maiden name   RYDER

Could this be the marriage entry for Elizabeth

Sep 1884 Market Harborough Leicestershire Volume:   7a Page:   42

Arthur John Blott (he died 1914 probate to widow Annie Hughes Blott)

Thanks for the information. I have most of this information but can add the missing bits.  The problem I have is Fanny Watson. She appeared when her 1st child was born but the father was never on a censors.   Would love to fond out where she actually came from as she says she was born in East Indies.  Going to do dna test 😛

The marriage in Market Harborough was on 30th September 1884, but Elizabeth was a widow and her father was unknown.

There was a death registered for an Elizabeth Watson, b 1849, in Leicester Q3 1876, a year before John was married in Leicester. He gave his father as John, a Watchmaker

Rachel (Rathel) married in Shropshire in 1885, giving her father as George Watson, a Jeweller.

Trees give Fanny's maiden name as Scott, even though mmn is Ryder.

There was a George Watson in an asylum in Lyncombe and Widcombe in 1851, although he was single, born 1779 .

1881 Census:-
Rachael Watson, a Housemaid at Link Cottage, Great Malvern, Upton on Severn, Worcestershire, born 1857 in Bilston.
With Augusta Ingram and family - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q27F-5T4H

There is a possibility that she is in Reading in 1871, but born 1855. A general servant in Malvern Cottage, born in Staffordshire. The Head is Alfred Pountney with a son, Francis, who was born in Market Harborough, mmn Cropley. The next family on the schedule also has Harborough and Leicester links - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VFXG-F4W

Lots of great information I will check it all out. Strange the first notice of Fanny Watson was in bath Holloway rd I think.  Then she moved to Bristol then to bilston then market harbrough. She evenly lived with her son but was soon put into Leicester mental hospital and later died there. I e see the reports from the mental hospital who knows says she was a Swarthy looking woman and she said she was born in East Indies.  Puzzling thing is where exactly she was born and how she arrived into the uk.  This has been mu sticking point.  Any ideas where to look?   Thanks for your help
