Ancestry search function

Just a heads-up, there is a problem with the Ancestry search function at the moment.

You can search, but don't expect to get results if you put much information into the forms. Use the keyword section for places, and don't put any dates in.

They are working on it, but at the moment, less is definitely more!

Thanks for the heads up. I did wonder when I was looking for a cousin in NZ and they listed pages from US with way out dates.

So whatever was wrong last night, it wasn't the problem I'd encountered! And Ancestry didn't listen.

Currently, I seem to be unable to get Ancestry to search with a date and place. Just a name is fine!

When I still couldn't get any results this morning, I rang them again, and eventually managed to get across to them that I wasn't getting search results that I should have been able to get, not ones I thought should be there and weren't.
