Thank you Sandra. I was guessing that but nice to have it confirmed. I have learned that Eliza Ann McElroy's father was Joseph. Her mother Becky aka Rebecca McElroy nee Jones was on the 1880 census age 70 as Grandma. But I don't find her date of death.
I did find the date of death for Mary McElroy, Gabriel Watterson's mother as July 14, 1887 but I don't have her death certificate. Despite what findagrave says Gabriel and Richard were not siblings. Richard's parents were John Watterson and Mary Sands.

Thank you, Sandra. I notice that findagrave says death 1922, but headstone photo shows 1917 as does death certificate. Good thing you mentioned that her maiden name was Tinder as the death certificate is almost illegible unless you know what to expect. Can't make out Rebecca's father's first name.

This morning, I found a George T. Watterson in the San Francisco city directories in 1885-1886 and 1889-1890. No way to know if this is George Thomas son of John Watterson and Martha Watterson. I  tried to find him in the 1880 and 1900 censuses without any luck. He married Lydia Tuttle in 1871.
