Following the Harrison Ford saga with interest!
Roobarb, don’t know much about your delay in opening up, but will watch GMB on BritBox before I fall asleep and get caught up on all things British!
On the weekend the medical people announced those who had the AstraZeneca shot at least 8 weeks ago could get either Pfizer or Moderna ASAP. I got mine 8 weeks ago today, so this morning I tackled the much dreaded signing-up process, but first I decided to make phone calls to see if I could register that way. On my first call, I got signed up, Pfizer, I signed up OH too, so now he can have it three weeks sooner, and doesn’t have to drive to the back of beyond to get the one he signed up for last week. We are going to get them done at our grocery store’s pharmacy. We have been getting our groceries there since last April via curbside pickup. Haven’t been inside since then. They have clothes too, I want to have a look, am so sick of my clothes!
Weather very nice today, if a bit windy.
I had a little adventure last night, woke up around 12:30 and went into the bathroom and promptly took a dive - must have tripped over the bath mat, went sort of sideways across the toilet, thinking as I went, I was going to break my arm, put my left hand down on the other side of the toilet (cramped quarters) and I must of grabbed at the towel rack with my right hand, or banged it (it hurt). The towel rack came away from the wall on one side. Didn’t break anything but a large bruise on my side under my left arm where I hit the hard edge at the back of the toilet seat. I got very little sleep after that! OH slept through it all. From now on I will make sure the bath mat is over the edge of the tub!
The night before I had woken up with a pain in my neck, sleeping position most likely, and slept poorly after that. Friday night I had a weird dream and screamed out loud. Tonight I am ready for a good night’s sleep!
Just a little bragging - Canada now has the highest first dose rate in the world, and we are catching up on second. We were slow getting the vaccines but have an excellent infrastructure for distribution and fewer people who are reluctant to get it.
