Alexander barbour Hit a dead end any advice

I'm trying to trace my great grandfather birth certificate I've found his and my great grandmother s marriage certificate. But I can't find where he was born and am unsure of his year of his birth. I know his father's name. Is there anyway of finding any other information which might help my search please?

A name, country of origin and an estimation of date would help us to help you.  ;)
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

According to ancestry his estimated birth year differs some documents give it as 1842 others as 1839 can't find a birth certificate as I don't know where he was born  his name is Alexander barbour and his father's name was William.  He married agnes  watch. He died by drowning in 1887 hope this helps

Where did your Alexander BARBOUR die, 1887?  What country...what part of that country?

Did your Alexander BARBOUR marry?. When did he marry...where did he marry?

What was his occupation?

There's this baptism in Largs, Scotland:

Alexander Ewing Barbour
Baptised 25 August 1839 at Largs, Ayrshire
Birth 16 August 1839
Parents: William Barbour & Mary Ewing

(found on FamilySearch.org)
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

There is a death in 1887 - Belfast RD - Alexander Barbour, aged 45.  Died 26 August, buried 28 August.  Address given as 17 Church Street.  Buried grave No: P559, City Cemetery.  :-\

Added:  There are McMaster and Waugh persons in the same grave.

Yes I found out he was buried at city cemetery belfast  along with my other great grand mother's other husbands she had lots and she got value for money from that grave!!!!! ;D they were married on 7th Dec 1882  belfast  and agnes Street church shankill Road. He died in I think it was Clarendon  dock in belfast but I'd need to check that fact.
