George Walter, a son of John McClure, stated on his WW1 file that his father was born in Donegal, Ireland.

Ralph Edwin Logan, (the other son of John McClure) states on his WW1/2 file that his religion was "C of E".

Again thanks Minniehaha - you have pressed the right button and eternally grateful. I was told the limited information from a distant relative of this line and cannot expand on the death dates of Francis and Jane.
You may have figured that i got the district wrong - Christchurch for Auckland! The Christchurch line were from Co. Down.
Did any of your Galbraiths from Ireland ever get to Australia [PM me if you have any info] - especially if his name is George!
Shanreagh - I seek any connection between the McClure famillies of Donegal. I am related by DNA to the Richard McClure , the 1st Lessee of the Findrum Estate. most of the McClure famillies of this part of the world have some connection to the afore mentioned Richard by DNA or his nephew Halbert McClure.
There are hearsay/ family legends that connect a lot of these family line and i am trying to join the dots.
How do i know that they come from Ballynashannagh? I am currently working with 5 descendants of David McClure born circa 1730 in Ballynashannagh and died in 1796. The above George, Francis and JOhn McClure are under his family umbrella.
 Religion - the McClures of the Donegal area are largely Protestant and usually Presbyterian or Non Conformists.

The little I have discovered about my Irish Galbraith family [a difficult area of research] tells me that James & his sister came from Galway. Not a George in sight! Well not so far.... ;D

My George Galbraith was said to be from Londonderry. This was understood to be his departure point. Likely from Donegal.
