Baptism witness name
« on: Sunday 20 June 21 15:10 BST (UK) »
Can anyone make out what the first name of the second baptism witness is ? "----- Doyle" (underlined in black)
That first letter has got me stumped, and I cannot find a similar letter on other pages.
The record is here if you want to see more of that handwriting https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QSQ-G9Z5-KQPK?i=552&cc=2155416

Sorry wrong one!  :-[
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Hello -

Although the first letter looks nothing like an E, it could maybe be Eimer, possibly misspelt.

Thanks for those suggestions.
It's frustrating not knowing what that name is for sure, because I'm struggling with the Doyle ancestors (the father was born in Dublin), so it would be useful to discover another relative in SA.

Annie or Onnie? (Onnie short for Honor?)
It should be a female name.
