Thanks for attaching the image.  It is in a more modern handstyle than the one that can confuse T and F etc.

That baptism has RA, as in Royal Artillery,  and the barracks at Woolwich.

ADD,  her father was a Sergeant 48 Heavy Battery, RGA.

JM

Thanks JM

Do you have this 5 page record from National Archives of Australia? It has the name and address of an aunt in Adelaide

Thanks Matthew. Yes, that’s the record I have - it’s because of me that it’s now available ;D I’ve looked into it a bit and have established that the ‘aunt’ is actually a cousin (Mrs E M Lee would appear to be the daughter of Phyllis’s mother’s sister - Lee is the married name, Gibbs is the maiden name).

Hi, looks like E M Lee died around 1953

there is a notice in the Adelaide Advertiser 24.5.1953 regarding Auction of 16 Water St

https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/48301539?searchTerm=e%20m%20leed

If we could find more information on the Niece Mrs EM Lee, it might be able to find Phyllis, If you feel that the niece is deceased, could you let us know her given names?

Cass

Just found Elsie May Lee 16 Walter St , funeral notice 26.12.1951 Adelaide Advertiser

https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/45786048?searchTerm=16%20walter%20street

death notice, no mention of Phyllis
https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/45786047?searchTerm=16%20walter%20street

Thank you so much Cass. How on earth did you do that?! I was going to say that Mrs E M Lee was Elsie May. Her maiden name was Gibbs.

Is there any way of getting hold of information relating to Elsie’s estate? Just thinking that if she left a Will, that could give me some information…

Hi, Sorry I dont know much about SA wills, but that would be a good idea, maybe a google search might help to find where the records are kept.

I found the notices by searching TROVE for the address on the shipping records

Had a look on Find my past, they have details of Elsie death recording her age as 69yrs , a widow , late husband name Alfred Lacey Lee. I tried to find details of Alfred but had no luck

Good Luck with the search

Cass
