In 1851 this one is still in Saddleworth with wife Sarah and daughters Elizabeth & Esther. His age is noted as 64 and place of birth Saddleworth

The marriage that you mention for William to Betty Kenworthy in 1803 was by licence and states that they were both of Delph and aged over 21 - Williams occupation Clothier. 
The marriage to Betty Sutcliffe was in Elland in August 1798, your William would have been around 14 years old.  (As I have come to post this I see it has already been mentioned about his age)

So the William Bottomley, wool weaver, born c1784 showing in your 1841 census find is possibly the son of William Bottomley, widower and weaver, who married Betty Sutcliffe in 1798?

I am looking for the father of below.  The first one you mentioned has several family names however, he would have been younger.   My Grandfather was William H Bottomley.  He was born 20 May 1853 Dunkinfield, Chester County, England  then came to America  Died 30 Jun 1927 Pratt City, Alabama, USA
