Thomas Miller and Mary Bell marriage 3 June 1776
« on: Tuesday 22 June 21 23:47 BST (UK) »
Have a marriage for Thomas Miller and Mary Bell, St Cuthberts, Darlington, Durham on 3 June 1776.  Both single.  Only one child to this marriage - Margaret Miller bap. 10 August 1777 St Cuthberts, Darlington.
I cannot find anymore on the family and do not know Thomas' occupation.

Any help in tracking their movements; or other children (perhaps) that I have not been able to find.

There are some baptisms at Haughton le Skerne, don't know if they are connected

Terrific.  Is there a link I can have in order to scroll through the parish records?

Link to Diocese of Durham Bishops Transcripts images on Family Search (from there you can find the parish you are interested in)
https://www.familysearch.org/search/image/index?owc=https://www.familysearch.org/service/cds/recapi/collections/1309819/waypoints

NB Now and then we come across a parish that isn't listed, but the images 'are' available.

Family Search: Search: Catalogue

In the place field, type in England, Durham, and then start typing the parish name - after a few letters look in the list of places offered and choose the one you want.
Then from the catalogue holdings list, choose church records and if they have BTs you can get to the images from there.

(looks a lot more complicated written down than it actually is to do - its easy once you have done it a couple of times.)

Will certainly look at the Haughton le Skerne records on Familysearch.

I have a Richard Bell who was working at the Red House, Haughton Lane, Haughton le Skerne in the 1730's.  Thomas Miller and Mary Bell could well be closely connected to Richard.  Especially as Thomas was also a 'farmer' in the same area.  Takes time !!
