A possible date please for Marian
« on: Wednesday 23 June 21 17:40 BST (UK) »
I'm hoping that I haven't asked this question before!  Forgive me if I have  :-[

I'd be grateful for an estimation of the date that this photograph was taken.  My mother is the eldest of these three girls, and she was born in 1911.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.  So about 9 years old.

How strange that the title of this thread appears to have changed!  Marian was an only child!!!

I would say she was around 9 or 10 years old, so early 1920s.

I agree that she looks to be about 9 years old.... so about 1920.

Thank you for the colouring, PatBot.

OK, so now I've got a probable date, I can start to work on who the other two girls might be - Milner or Appleyard  :-\

Looking through my files, it appears that a relative suggested who the two younger girls might be.

Does this sound right - so my mother was born 1911 and the two suggested girls were born in 1913 and 1916 and were her cousins.

Looks good to me  :)

That would make the youngest 3 or 4. I'd say that was about right  :)
