Nash Family
« on: Wednesday 23 June 21 18:54 BST (UK) »
Hello i was wondering if anyone, a little better than me researching, could possible help me. I'm trying to track down My Nash family ancestors from i believe Drogheda, Co Louth. My ancestor was Mary Nash, she was born 22nd June 1889, and died 5th April 1976 in Lurgan Co Armagh. This is where i find her marriage to Henry McAreavey. And i also find her on the census form in Lurgan in 1901 stating she was from Drogheda. Now on her marriage to henry she states her father was a John Nash. However on her birth record, the father is not listed and the mother is called Anne Matthews. I can only find a marriage for an Anne Matthews and Patrick Nash. I then can find nothing more about her parents. I wondered if anyone could help me with these people.

Thanks so much.

Laura

Can you send me the link to this as I can't see it.
Thanks

I have some other information but I will send that when I see the census. Ok.

There are births to Patrick Nash and Anne Matthews
James - 1883
Marianne 1885 - died 1886

Patrick Nash 1886 shows father as deceased

Perhaps Mary’s father was a man called John but not shown on birth certificate.

That is, if this is the correct Mary.

Thank you all for your posts. Yes that is her on them all. Heywood i do believe that to be her in 1901 with patrick as a servant in 1901. But again nothing to concrete it to her.

Maggsie she obviously thought drogheda was county meath instead of louth. Do you have much other information on her?

Could anyone help me trace the mother and father, or even just what happened to Anne Matthews/nash.

Everyone has been so kind with helping.
