Help please with deciphering a name
« on: Thursday 24 June 21 18:00 BST (UK) »
Could anybody please help with deciphering the name on the lower right side of the postcard. I can make out the rest of the writing except the name.
"Dear Fred how do you like this photo we had them taken on Wed on the beach at Yarmouth. The other girl is Nellie she is so tall. ( it then looks like its Nellie .......... ) Best love Lottie."
I'm trying to find out the name to see who the girl was but can't make out the surname. Could it be Arnold?
Many Thanks

I usually convert to negative to read faint handwriting.

Sorry to say that unfortunately I still can't be positive with this postcard.   ???

Hi,

I see She is tall as Nellie (Arnold/Field)., although the gap between "is" and "tall" is a bit big - maybe there is another "as" in there?

But does this make sense?! I can't find anything about a very tall Nellie Field/Arnold... ???

I see 'The other girl is Nellie, she is so tall (it's Nellie Field)'
i.e. she's identifying Nellie, maybe they know more than one person with that name :)

This might be a bit left-field but I can't help seeing that line as:
"Nellie [St?] John is tall as Nellie [A...ld]"

I can't see the "St" but it seems the best thing to make up a surname with "John"
