Hi,

If you use Facebook there is the City of Sydney Historical Association, they might be able to help, maybe try sending a message.

or their web site.

In 1954 they were at 580 George St.

Here's a couple of photos from Pinterest of Harold's 580 George st, on the Northeast corner of Bathurst and George Streets from 1950-60 and possibly originally from from City of Sydney Archives (which I don't know how to drive, so can't find)

ADD: Harolds dress store, George Street Sydney, 1960 (01/01/1960 - 31/12/1960), [A-00012280]. City of Sydney Archives, accessed 28 Jun 2021, https://archives.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/nodes/view/572925

*Note - the archives has this building at 570 George st, so it may not be the one, but may jolt a memory

A search for "580 george" on the City of Sydney Archives site shows a building survey card for the address from 1947.

It lists the ground floor as a Ladies Frocks showroom, with 4 persons; and the first floor as the workroom, with 6 persons

ADD: Building Survey Card. 580 George St. Show room and workroom. Plan attached. (29/12/1947), [A-00508542]. City of Sydney Archives, accessed 28 Jun 2021, https://archives.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/nodes/view/960245

Oh, and I have only just seen Matthew64's message with the rate card. That would be it.
From what I have found, Harolds was on the next block nearer to Town Hall.

Thanks.
