Married 1926 actress Maria Foster Hemingway. He was born 1897 and died 1956.

This is all I know about him. Does anyone know anything more such as was he on the stage?

His 3rd christian name wasn’t Walter - it was William??

Is this person connected to your family history given the identity of his wife’s previous husband? 

His birth reg is on freebmd so you can look for him on the 1901 & 1911 censuses if you want his ancestry.  He also re-married in 1947  - see freebmd. 

Look for him on the 1939 register to establish his occupation or buy a copy of his marriage cert

He also left a will which you can download for £1.50

He is not related to me. He is a relative of a friend who has not looked into his family tree. I said that Rootschat was the best place to start looking.
