Thomas and Jane (Atkinson) Knowles

I am trying to find out about Thomas Knowles and his wife Jane (nee Atkinson) who were married at Cartmel in 1801. Also Mark Atkinson and his son William Ion Atkinson who both ran the Kirkstone Pass Inn, in the Lake District.

I’m stuck on two family trees and I am trying to find out if the two Atkinson families are related.

Could you please supply the dates for any of these people please.  Also how far from Cartmel is the Kirkstone Pass Inn? 

You are searching for a link between Jane Atkinson Knowles and Mark Atkinson?  What clues/ideas have you got that that there may be a connection?

Kirkstone Pass Inn is in Ambleside ,Lake District - 18 miles from Cartmel

Mark Atkinson   40 Farmer born Brough, Westmorland
Rhoda Atkinson   26
Brinda Atkinson   3

Following him back to 1881 he seems to be the Son of JOHN/ANNE, Anne a lot younger than her husband.
John born c 1805 Kirkby Stephen Westmorland.

1871 Mark is Mack age 6 mths.

Bapt on FreeREG 15 May 1807 there to JOHN/MARY Atkinson (Mary nee JON)
