Mary Harriet Gartrell

Trying to find out what happen to Mary Harriet Gartrell.  (other spellings Gartell, Gertrell)

Mary was born 1888  to  John Gartrell and Emily Protheroe.  (who married Jan 1887 in Auckland)

She had a sister Emily Louisa Gartrell born 1887 and she died in Kerang Victoria Australia. Never married.

The only clue I can find is a tree online which does not have any references as to where detail have been obtained,  it gives her husband as Leslie Frederick Stewart Stanley. Who appears to live in Tasmania.  But I can not find a link between the two of them.  And has the death date as 1920.

Any help would be applicated.

1919 electoral roll has Leslie Frederick Stewart Stanley an Orchardist, Scottsdale, Bass, Tasmania
Also at same address Mary Harriet Stanley, domestic duties


By 1924 1922 he is in Victoria, no Mary Harriet at same address

Find a grave has a burial for Mary Harriett wife of Leslie

Police gazette, coroners report, gives her age as 31.  I don’t think that is what it says on grave.  Think says 36 or 38.   

No link to Gartrell so far.

It seems to me online records for Tasmania do not cover the period, but I am not very familiar with them.
You might have to order the death certificate for that Mary to see who her parents were.

Yes I saw a bit on Trove how she met her end but no reference to her maiden name. 
 Very sad story.
